Pseudoscorpiones: Paleontology
The oldest fossil pseudoscorpion is Dracochela deprehendor from the Devonian of New York, which has many features found in modern pseudoscorpions. Several Cretaceous fossils have been described from Myanmar and France. About 40 species of Tertiary amber fossils have been described, mostly from Europe and Central America. The Tertiary species have been mostly ascribed to recent genera.
