Donations are very important to the Society as they fund various funds and, when unrestricted, can be used for anything that the Board believes is needed.

What donations are mainly used for:

In 2017, the ISA initiated the Oscar and Jan Francke Student Research Fund to support the next generation of scientists. We have raised over $5,000 US thanks to major funding from Oscar and Jan Francke and other smaller donations.  Maintaining this fund is central to our ongoing efforts to enable early career researchers enter the field of arachnology. We are thrilled with any donation — even small donations show the breadth of support for arachnology. Please consider donating to this fund.
