Uruguay is a peaceful and open-minded small country located in South America, between Argentina and Brazil. Montevideo was founded in December 1726 and it is the capital city. It will host the 22nd International Congress of Arachnology. Small, vibrant and with immeasurable cultural richness, it has different facets where industry merges with the commercial area, within an historical and Neoclassical European architecture.

The city has the longest ‘rambla’ in the world, with more than 22 kilometers surrounding the coastline of the Rio de la Plata. The old district offers multiple and valuable cultural and historical attractions with a variety of restaurants to taste the typical food and drinks of the region.
